When and where did you start Jiu-Jitsu?

I started training Jiu-Jitsu in 1998 in Rio de Janeiro, together with my cousins. There were six of us training together, and we felt almost like the Gracie family.

We spent all day talking about Jiu-Jitsu. And we still do! Three of us are now black belts, and we still have fun talking about Jiu-Jitsu every day.

My dream of making a living from Jiu-Jitsu began back then, in those first years of training alongside my cousins. And that dream has stayed with me ever since.

When did you get your black belt?

In 2015 I received my black belt from my professor Leonardo Tapias, “Nado”. I feel very honored by that. He is a success story in the Jiu-Jitsu world, loved and respected by everyone, including me.

What does Jiu-Jitsu mean to you?

Simple: Jiu-Jitsu is the mechanism for absolute evolution!
